DIMES

Always A Bridesmaid

You Are So Rock 'n Roll Records

I could review this CD in four words; passionate, dynamic, creative and brilliant.  But I owe it to the Maximum Ink readers and the Dimes to expand on this review.

Dimes are probably the best band that you've never heard of,  and I guarantee that you will be hearing a lot more about them in 2002.  The songs are constructed with melody in mind and the guitars are clean and loud.  What more do you need?  Singer/guitarist Micah Eberman sings like U2's Bono is his father, not that he sounds like Bono, but the passion, diction and talent is the same.

"Always A Bridesmaid" by Dimes is a standout piece of work.  The crystal clean production by the legendary producer Wendy Schneider and her Coney Island Studio is quite possibly the best work that she's ever done and that's saying a lot.  Keep you ears open, 2002 is the year of Dimes.          David A. Kulczyk
