Andrew Frey brings his extensive knowledge of the "heavier" musical genres and mixes it with a bit of World Beat, Jam, Techno and Experimental for a Micro Review monthly column called Eclectic Vibes.

Andrew's music writing career started in the late 80's when he was involved with two music newspapers while living in Colorado. Upon relocating to Madison, Wisconsin in 1994, Andrew opened an "Alternative General Store" in Stoughton called Elves Palace. Since, Andrew has had a few stores in a few locations until landing again at (the new) Elves Palace at 2733 Atwood Avenue on Madison's east side. His history with Maximum Ink goes back to the year 2000
