20 unreleased tracks of rare and obscure 60s-70s compositions from South Africa producing a brief historical overview of the infectious rhythms and jazz inspired beats that were energizing the townships at the time. The wonderful variety of vocals and local styles on this first of 3 volumes make this a winner in any era.

Mellow, polished and safe adult rock with a splash of jam topped with feel good, well worn backbeats and lead by Mark Davison (Cubic Feet). Parts of this album work for me and the other half falls off somewhere into some land of energetic negligence.

Teaming up two friends, one a guitar virtuoso and one a rock vocalist produces pleasantly entertaining results. This very contemporary rock is not filled with bells and whistles, just really well written straight forward rock n roll.

Clever kickin’ bluegrass from the mad city! Catchy auburn tales of an impassioned life are picked and strummed from a vintage view while the female vocals issue forth the call of fun and frolic. The simple melodies touched by twang and an effortless glint appeal to my brain and perhaps yours as well.
