Once in a great while a compilation is more than a collection of songs. Occasionally it is replayable party mix of highly memorable artists that continually blow your mind. So it is with Melbourne Australia’s Adapted Records compilation of Glitch & Funk. This release shows off a reverberant selection of body moving funky bass crossed with uplifting vibes amid memorable electronic elicitations and breakdowns.

Govinda - Decadence

Harvesting wonderful middle-eastern influences and spinning them into hypnotizing electronic driven compositions is what Austin based producer Govinda (aka Shane Madden) is a master at. Here he also incorporates a variety of live instruments and occasional vocals into the fluid mosaic mix of glitchy trance treats, creating an indelible delight for your senses.

Globular - Holobiont

Multiple layers of ethnically influenced electronic psychedelic exploration results in constant delights and discoveries even after numerous listens.  As for the title, a holobiont is defined as the host plus of all its microbial symbionts, including transient and stable members, which equates to us all being a holoboint on some level. But what does holoboint music sound like? Find out and be delighted!

The Glitch Mob - See Without Eyes

This Los Angeles trio of artists, Boreta, edIT, and Ooah have produced seminal elements of the electronic sonic experience since their beginnings in 2006. It has been 4 years since their last acclaimed release (their 2nd LP, Love Death Immortality, debuted #13 on Billboard 200 album chart and No. 1 on iTunes electronic chart). Driven now by their own label, Glass Air, their sound remains recognizable, but with a fair amount of experimental elements among their signature punctual electro synths and swollen bass lines. Showing off several great collaborators, including REZZ, Illenium, and Tula, the release has many facets to explore. I am excited to see them at The Sylvee in Madison, WI on 10/10!

The Greatest Showman was a landmark musical film and the songs it contains are iconic. Ripples of it’s popularity have been shaking the musical universe since it was released. Now you have the chance to hear 13 tracks reimagined by some of today’s top pop artists including Kesha, Kelly Clarkson, Panic! at the Disco, Pentatonix, P!nk, and Willow Sage Hart (P!nk’s daughter). Soleance - Tribute To Galt MacDermot

Grammy Award Winner Galt MacDermot died on Dec 17, 2018, but his music will live forever! Best known for his work on the musical Hair, he produced several #1 hits in the late 60s and has been sampled by numerous groups and producers over the years.. This tribute by the French group Soleance samples choice snippets and turns them into quite on point, catchy, funky,  jazzy electronic infused compositions.
