Denny from Bliss Communications holds the first NEW issue of Maximum Ink to be printed on their fabulous new press

Hey Everybody!

This month’s issue of Maximum Ink is dedicated to Canned Heat singer Robert Lucas who passed away from a heroin overdose last month. Some of you might remember him from playing the Maximum Ink Rock Stage at Atwood Summerfest in July 2007 when the legendary Canned Heat headlined the event. That very may well have been their final Wisconsin performance, I will remember that show always, it was very special indeed!

Maximum Ink Live Music Calendar:

Some of you may have noticed the changes in the Live Music Calendar’s formatting. We received many positive comments that it is much easier to read and find the clubs you’re looking for in zones or by city rather than the alphabetical method we employed for so many years. It is even easier online, just go to TonightInWisconsin.com to peruse the clubs alphabetically, by zone, city and more. Just this past month, over 40 clubs around the Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois area were added, and look for more to be added this month. It is the most comprehensive Live Music Calendar I can find for this area, bar none. And I’m not just saying that because it’s Max Ink, it is just fact. Try it out and see what I mean.

Musicians Billboard:

TheMusiciansBillboard.com is alive online and in print. The relaunch means you can sign up for the free classified ads right at Maximum Ink and view them on our website, and of course, on the inside back cover of the printed magazine. Not everything online makes it to print, but we’re trying to fit as much as we can.

Max Ink’s Holiday Party:

December 20th, Cardinal Bar, Madison, No Cover, Free Beer (Ale Asylum‘s Hopalicious) and munchies by Tex Tubb’s Taco Palace at 9pm, God’s Outlaw playing Johnny Cash and other classic country, El Donk with Motor Primitives’ organist and Max Ink writer Jeff Muendel playing Pink Floyd in tribute to Floyd keyboardist Richard Wright. Need I say more?

Rökker’s Mom:

Hey Mom, here’s a huge special thanks for all that you and Dad do for Maximum Ink! Everyone give her a big round of applause for all of the food she has catered for Max Ink readers and the bands that have played our parties over the years. We’re going to give her a little rest this month as Tex Tubb’s Taco Palace will fill in for her for our holiday party.

Adventures with Bliss:

Thanx so much to Tony, Denny and the rest of the crew at Bliss who have taken over the charge of printing this fine magazine. The quality of the new print job is outstanding and has everyone talking. Rock on!
