According to the Walworth County Sunday, the Walworth County Sheriff’s Department wrote 24 citations at Saturday’s (August 16) Projekt Revolution tour concert at Alpine Valley Music Theater in East Troy, Wisconsin.
The show was the theater’s last of the season.
The show’s main acts were LINKIN PARK and CHRIS CORNELL, former lead singer of SOUNDGARDEN and AUDIOSLAVE.
The citations included 18 for underage drinking, two for disorderly conduct and one each for battery, possession of fireworks, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The fifth edition of the Projekt Revolution tour got underway on July 16 in Boston. The festival-type trek also features THE BRAVERY, ATREYU, 10 YEARS, ASHES DIVIDE, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS, ARMOR FOR SLEEP and STREET DRUM CORPS.
As with previous LINKIN PARK tours, one dollar from each ticket sold is going to the group’s charity foundation, Music For Relief, to support disaster relief and reduce global warming.

DIR EN GREY will release its new album, “Uroboros”, on November 12. The album will be released in three editions; a standard edition, a limited edition and a deluxe edition. The standard edition will be released as a single-disc CD album, while the limited edition will include a bonus disc. The deluxe edition, a significantly more expensive release, will include two CDs, one DVD and two LPs, and will be available for pre-ordering only until August 17.
“The album will be stuffed with themes of ‘guilt and reincarnation’ as well as ‘the past, present and future of DIR EN GREY,’” guitarist Kaoru explained back in May. “This will be heavier and darker than previous albums, with a sort of oriental and religious mood and connotations. We’re experimenting with different sounds — we’d like to introduce a multitude of different instruments on this album.”

This past Saturday’s (July 26) Summer Slaughter tour stop at The Rave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin was reportedly shot for future DVD release. According to the BLABBERMOUTH.NET registered user “Satan’s Scrotal Scent”, all the bands on the bill — THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, KATAKLYSM, VADER, CRYPTOPSY, THE FACELESS, DESPISED ICON, ABORTED, BORN OF OSIRIS, PSYCROPTIC, and WHITECHAPEL — “announced [from the stage] that they were filming a DVD for the tour. Cameras were all over the place (hand-helds and stationary) and you could tell each band was trying to ‘up the ante.’ The greatest thing about it was the fact that no security was there to break up any pits (as that happens at every show at The Rave). There were people getting pummeled and kicked left and right. Hardcore scenesters were punching and kicking with no avail. I saw at least four kids get dropped to the ground. Pretty entertaining stuff and should turn out to be a pretty good DVD.”

The Riverside Theater is proud to welcome Alanis Morissette on Sunday, October 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Raised in Ottawa, Canada, and Germany, Alanis Morissette played piano, wrote songs and discovered a love of words and dance at an early age. Using money from her role on the popular television show “You Can’t Do That On Television,” Morissette released an independent single “Fate Stay with Me.” Alanis followed in 1991 by MCA Canada and won the young singer-songwriter a Juno Award for Most Promising Female Artist.
1995 proved to be a break out year for 21-year old Morissette with the release of her first international album, Jagged Little Pill. Garnering four Grammy Awards, Pill sold a stunning 30 million copies worldwide on the strength of hits “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” and “Ironic” and cemented Morissette’s status as a queen of the 90s’ burgeoning female singer-songwriter movement.
For her new album, Flavors Of Entanglement, Morissette pairs with electronica producer Guy Sigsworth (Madonna, Seal, Björk). After the airy good cheer of 2004’s So-Called Chaos, the densely-textured Flavors sees Morissette – now in her 30s and fresh from a break-up with fiancé Ryan Reynolds – revisiting themes of heartbreak and emotional dissonance.
Tickets on sale July 25th at noon and are available at The Riverside Theater Box Office, www.riversidetheater.org and www.tickets.com, and (414) 286-3663 or (800) 511-1552.

Zude™.com, the social computing platform that provides users an unprecedented level of freedom and design customization, announced today the launch of the online community for Summerfest, “The World’s Largest Summer Music Festival,” attracting nearly 900,000 fans.
In conjunction with the eleven-day festival, to be held in Milwaukee June 26-July 6, Zude.com will auction off three Summerfest packages. Auction proceeds will go to the Foundation Fighting Blindness. The auction, beginning today and running through June 23rd, is being managed by Kompolt online auction agency (www.kompolt.com).
Summerfest selected Zude.com as the platform for its online community. Dubbed “Summerfest Nation” (www.zude.com/Summerfest), the community is designed to help festival attendees make the most of their Summerfest experience. Summerfest Nation features a variety of useful information, such as car pool details, hints to compete in the event’s scavenger hunt, festival shopping guides, as well as everything a fan would need to know about the bands and their music. Zude.com is also giving away free concert tickets to the first 2000 fans to sign up for Summerfest Nation.
Two eBay auctions, sponsored by Zude, will award winners VIP concert packages, including hotel accommodations, tickets and backstage passes to see either The Crystal Method or Filter. In a third eBay auction, the winning bidder and three friends will receive a private behind-the-scenes tour of the 75-acre Summerfest grounds, four general admission tickets, a collectors’ book titled 40 Years of Summerfest, and other festival memorabilia. For more information, please go to www.ebay.com/SummerfestNation.
“We’re thrilled to be playing Summerfest, but especially excited to play a part in raising money for the Foundation Fighting Blindness,” said Ken Jordan, lead DJ of The Crystal Method. “This Foundation helps thousands of people each year, funding research to help find treatments and cures for a number of leading causes of blindness.”
