Marques Bovre
Pat J. Peterson – Died 02-07-2013, in Whitewater, WI, brain cancer- Age 40- guitarist and songwriter (pop, rock, reggae) - originator and front man for The Pipe Circus, Avengers Assemble, Savage Myth, Sector 3, Ruthless Acoustic - Dueling Guitars, and Pat’s Solo Act. Pat was also Co-Founder of Innabeat Music & Entertainment. Pat was a compelling performer, a true humanitarian, a devoted husband and father, and his diagnosis only spurred him on to do as much as he could. 10 days after a surgery to remove the brain tumor in 2011, he was on stage at Summerfest, performing for a crowd. He was just that motivated and passionate about his music. Pat (together with his beloved wife Ruth) was involved in over 100 events for local charities. Pat’s musical talent, and his big-heartedness is inspiring, and he will be missed, but not forgotten.
Marques Bovre – Died 02-11-2013 in Madison, WI, cancer- Age 50 – Guitarist, singer, and songwriter (rock) – solo artist and originator of Marques Bovre & The Evil Twins and Marques Bovre & SoDangYang. Marques was not only an amazing musician, but a person whose example we should all strive to emulate. He loved and accepted all, he never took himself seriously and never complained, despite being in excruciating pain. His humor was irreverent, but never cruel, and to know Marques was to love him. Marques’ music, while not “mainstream”, was powerful and influential in its own right. Marques could have been famous, he was that talented. But his heart and soul were drawn to something even greater: marriage and family and making music purely because he enjoyed it. The world lost a bright beacon of light with Marques’ passing, but he will never be forgotten.
