The only thing that was truly scary this year so far was how early stores put out Halloween and X-mas decorations. I think some stores put ‘em out shortly after the 4th of July. And really, isn’t the hot hot summer the time you are thinking of ghosts, goblins and tree ornaments? Masks and costumes when it’s 111 degrees? Anyway, my Halloween show pick this year comes in the form of the off-the-hook psychedelic indie pop group, Of Montreal, who are headlining Nightmare On King Street at the Majestic Theater in Madison. Well-known for their often outlandish and outrageous stage shows, they should be well-versed on handling whatever antics the crowd may treat them to. Their new album, Stream Lousy with Sylvianbriar, hits the streets on 10/8 www.ofmontreal.net
