Surprisingly tame, straight forward and stereotypical “chick” rock from the daughter of legendary Iron Maiden bassist, Steve Harris. I was really hoping for a lot more.

Leatherwolf - New World Asylum

Megadeth meets Metal Church in this surprisingly good thrash attack throwback. With Mustain-like vocals and kick ass catchy riffs n chops this release will certainly stress my neck well into the future.

Generally cheeky and heavily sample-induced dance music from Club Neverdie, the most famous (and highest grossing) virtual nightclub in the world. Neverdie also happens to be the avatar of multi-talented singer/songwriter John Jacobs who is at the forefront of this new wave of nightlife entertainment.

Opiate For The Masses - Manifesto

Well-promoted, catchy commercial pop metal. I guess if you listen to that there hard rock radio, you will have built up a tolerance to this type of music. I grew up on metal, but I cannot stand how ho-hum metal has generally become. Blugnuts!

Straight Line Stitch - When Skies Wash Ashore

Taking the sound of today’s popular aggressive metal-core, attaching a bit of their own style, then adding the intense and dynamic female vocals of Alexis Brown has propelled this band to lofty new heights.

Infernofonic - Spark It Up

Empowered female vocals from Elaine Tuttle lead the charge for this hard rockin, metal outfit. The big rock riffs and punchy drums blast out some decent grooves, but they shine when flirting their edgier, experimental facets.

Devil's Slingshot - Clinophobia

A breathtaking Super-Trio comprised of musical luminaries Tony MacAlpine, Billy Sheehan and Virgil Donail. As one would expect, they flex there impressive technical wizardry and musical prowess throughout this instrumental release with style, finesse and maturity.

Metallica - Death Magnetic

I never thought I would actually LIKE Metallica again, but after ousting lamo producer Bob Rock and replacing him with the legendary Rick Ruben, plus returning to their original logo and MUSICAL ATTITUDE, I am reconverted. This is the album that COULD have come after “…And Justice For All.” That’s what it sounds like and by doing so would have prevented the LOADS of inferiority in the middle. The neck wreckers are back!

By recruiting talented fresh musical blood, founding member and resident industrial music wizard Alien Jorgensen has revitalized the amazing musical magic of the early 90’s releases. Here we are also blessed with a flagrant dose of the bands trademark smut and grind while Jorgensen himself is reportedly taking more of a back seat and releasing control to the next generation. FUCKIN HOT!!!

Jorn - Lonely Are The Brave

Built around Norwegian Jorn Lande who is touted as being an extraordinary vocalist. Upon listening however, I was struck by how ordinary and blaze’ the music and most of the vocals are. Surprisingly average overall.
