Thievery Corporation

Will music festivals EVER be the same? Seemingly so random yet so tragic. Sincerest condolences to all those affected by the horrible shootings at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas.

Washington, D.C. club owners Rob Garza and Eric Hilton have been spinning together reggae, dub, trip-hop and bossa nova with progressive politics for over 20 years now as the infamous Thievery Corporation, while simultaneously selling millions of albums through their own label. Their most recent, The Temple of I & I released in Feb of 2017, has been widely hailed as one of the top downtempo and reggae releases of the year. Find out why on 10/5 at Orpheum Theater in Madison, WI. Also on the bill, City of the Sun, and Ben Silver,

Electronic music is rarely described as dystopian, creepy or psychedelic, but for artist REZZ who composes eery, bass heavy, downtempo soundscapes, the description is more than valid. To compliment her amazing new release, Mass Manipulation, she enlisted illustrator and animator Luis Colindres to breath visual life to her story. With Colindres she produced a 60 page Mass Manipulation comic book in conjunction with the musical release, wherein, a young REZZ arrives on Earth from the cold and watery Neptune with an agenda of hypnotizing and entrancing the people of earth. With that in mind, who can resist the chance to experience her and her Mass Manipulation Tour when it comes to the Majestic Theater in Madison, WI on 10/12? With No Mana & The M Machine.

Nahko Bear has been writing and weaving mystical and magical musical stories since his youth. After years of touring with Medicine for the People, he is taking an introspective look back at some of his early material, originally written during his journeys in Alaska, Louisiana, Portland and Hawaii. The result is My Name is Bear, a solo effort that will be released on 10/20 on Sideone Dummy Records. The 16 tracks contain even more nuances of this amazing performer, which will be further unveiled when he tours through on 10/29 at Majestic Theater in Madison, WI.
